Violetta:

1. It's a very general question--I'm no lawyer--about when companies have to let the world know they're onto something. They of course have to let the world know when their drills intersect kimberlitic rock...but did they have to tell us they thought this would happen (PRETTY GOOD RESULTS!! 5 for 5!!!) due to the confidence they had in their geophysical surveys and indicator mineral trains "up-glacier"?
No doubt they were pretty excited even before they put the drills in the ground. The fact that they weren't touting the hell out of it is a GOOD sign. If you are familiar with the story, Diamet's Chuck Fipke trekked all over the Northwest Territories on a 'mad' quest following mineral trails...well he hit it big and he sure wasn't telling anyone until he had the land staked. The way this story has unfolded there has been little hype except for now, so I think this is a play of extreme high quality. We won't know about the potential for a discovery of gem quality diamonds for several weeks...and after that it may be several months before bulk sampling programmes are started. Of course they may find NO DIAMONDS in these pipes. Then again, they may find more pipes.

2. The "profit-taking potential" of the whole play may very well be wrapped up in the next two or three weeks. I guarantee you that the stock will go up from here in anticipation of the sample results. I also recommend that you take profits in advance of the announcement, or at least sell part of your position to lock in profits.

In diamond stocks, if the results were good the stock might EVENTUALLY drift down as boredom set in...but let me assure you if there are high concentrations (or even a FEW) of gem quality diamonds enough to warrant further drilling and a bulk sampling programme, the price will shoot up again. A world class diamond mine is worth a billion dollars or more.

Lots of people lost mega-bucks in the NWT diamond play, so be careful. Many of us have some experience with that (like several dozen pounds of literature on the diamond business) and to me, this could be a very high quality bit of rock they've got their hands on. Some companies have been looking for years without finding anything: Lytton Minerals is still worth hundreds of millions of dollars on "hope". I'm sure the hopes here are a lot better...and the stock a lot cheaper.

The best way to play tomorrow might be to put in an "on stop" buy order at $2.30 in case this really decides to take off.

REMEMBER...THEY ARE DRILLING MORE ANOMALIES...WHAT HAPPENS IF SOME OF THEM HIT KIMBERLITE TOO?

Finally...does anyone know about Pure Gold warrants? Do these trade?

OK, back to my losing technology stocks...
