Amir, the cost increase of the Honda has more to do with safety
regulations than inflation. Honda's as well as other cars manufactured
and sold in the US, must have side impact, dual air bags, improved
fuel economy with reduced emissionis, etc., these items weren't
required in 1988.

As long as the price of oil continues to hold under $20 a barrel I don't
foresee any serious inflation. With Iraq and the UN negotiating their
return to OPEC, oil will remain "cheap". During the past few years
most US companies have been down-sizing and becoming more
efficient. This efficency has resulted in lower costs and with improved
quality. US products today are generally on par with those of other
industralized nations. In the high tech area few countries can compete
with us. So from my perspective (short term) the climate for stocks
looks rosy even with the Dow at 5600.
