Steven,

<< Is it correct to assume that the offering of Verizon's wireless internet access for Palm generates no revenue for Q!? >>

I think so. The offer is, as you state, CDPD.

Verizon (BAM) still offered the pdQ as of my last visit to their store a few weeks ago. I was there looking for the (still unreleased) data cable for the Audiovox CDM9000.

Until 2 months ago I was using the QCP860 with Palm Vx data cable and organizer that was pictured on the page (2nd photo from top) of the link Ramsey supplied this morning. It was GREAT! Using AvantGo & ProxiNet proxy servers CDMA data at 14.4 kbps was like surfing with a V90 modem (I do not exaggerate on this, data flies) and the Palm display beats the heck out of the WAP jobs on handsets. Verizon (BAM) still offers the QCP860. They never offered the data kit but it is available online from Kyocera. Kit comes with pdQ software on CDROM. The QCP860 can be used with BAM Verizon's Single Rate East plan, but not the National Single Rate plan which necessitated my moving to the CDM9000.

As for the Audiovox data cable Audiovox web site used to say "Not Available until May 2000", it now says "Not Available until June 2000". Next month it will say ....
