So, the answer to the conundrum of animal rights is to engage in circular reasoning? If it is a moral imperative not to harm animals, animals have a right not to be harmed. Aren't you defining the right in order to prove it exists?

And what of animals violating one another's "rights"? Or do rights only protect them from humans? Why? Because only humans are capable of recognizing them?

Seems a whole lot of flapping of wings to me. ;-)
