Some more anecdotal data:

My daughter's school district (in Silicon Valley) was offered a good price on G3 Macs. The deal included 3 year zero interest financing.

What was curious about the deal was that the district only had 2 weeks to take it or leave it. They took it.

I'm still trying to figure out if the limited time offer has implies anything about how this quarter's sales are going.
