I live in NYC and pay $500/month to park my car in a garage, that article is not that far off in financial terms at all. As to the morons who complain in it, there are morons everywhere, some of them just have more money than others and some are dumb enough to max out their credit card borrowing power.

I realize the money spent in NYC is ridiculous because I paid $700/month for a big condo on a lake in Minneapolis with parking garage included, but at this point in my life I couldn't be happier anywhere else, you gotta pay to play. If I was raising a family or had not participated in the clown fiesta the last few years, I'd be singing a different tune I'm sure.
