Several types of hunting or competition, but most importantly to kill people based on our right to self defense and the purpose of the 2nd amendment - to allow the people to defend themselves from a future tyrannical government or invasion.

There are more AR-15's or semi-autos in the USA than Islamic radicals, seems it would be easier to find and deport the radicals than ban a gun already the most popular seller in the USA.
