I own 0 shs of Vertex and have never recommended buying Vertex. To paraphrase others on this thread, please don't put words in my mouth. If you would like to short Vertex, be my guest but you should know that Jay Silverman, the analyst recommending AGPH for Robertson Stephens, is currently recommending purchase of Vertex. Vertex does have cash of roughly $275million vs. AGPH's $75ish, (of course will be different after June qtrs. are released.) Actually, for all you know, I could actually be short Vertex, but you don't and never will know. Similarly, between the time when I said on SI that I was short AGPH and now, I could be LONG AGPH, and I am under no obligation to tell you. Several months back, I was on the UNPH thread defending the stock to bogus attacks from shorts. UNPH happens to be a wonderfully managed firm, and the longer you are in this business, the more you realize that just like in real estate, the saying is location, location, location, in the equity market, it's management, management, management. In summary, my musings regarding UNPH on the thread turned out to be 101% correct, and the stock recovered from its lows to hit new all time highs. Months later, I found out that (can't prove it) some of these negative rumors were actually being generated by an entity who wanted to buy UNPH - I bring this up not to suggest that this is what I am doing with AGPH, but sort of to let you guys realize that on SI, keep your eyes open - this place is like that strange bar scene in the Star Wars flick - who knows what's behind those funny masks? For myself, I find it easier to attempt to be forthright with my posts, if you disagree with me regarding AGPH posts - that's great, that's what this forum is all about! I do need to point out though, that sometimes you don't appreciate or don't realize that I may be throwing a bit of joke or humor into some of my typing. Just try to separate when I'm being serious vs. just tickling somebody in the side.
