I can't help but try to add some perspective to the one-theme fanaticism on this thread.

Let's talk Bill Gates.

In the 1980s his company developed a product called Windows. It was terrible. A real loser. Didn't sell.

Took a long time (as in "Techniclone time") for the company to get the product right.

And they weren't even doing anything innovative. They were just copying what Apple did years before. They didn't even have to deal with partners, funding, or the FDA.

Understand, the product really s**ked. It took years and years to create.

And you know what? I didn't ever hear anyone say "let's hire a new CEO from IBM to run this company right".

Had you been a MSFT shareholder, however, I am sure you would have led the charge to replace Bill and bring in a moron from IBM and give him options on two million shares of stock.

Because you, an outsider, would have had it all figured out.
