"The Nazis were not humanists, lol! You obviously have no idea what humanism means!" Humanism is the philosophical position "Homo mensura", that Man is the measure of all things. It is anthropocentric as opposed to Theocentric. All the Nazi propaganda to the contrary aside, it perfectly describes them. You want to smuggle the moral teachings of Christianity into Humanism but there is no compelling rational basis for doing so. "And they certainly were not atheists." Of course they were. Only someone who is desperate to distance themselves from their philosophical soul mates would be dishonest enough to try and maintain that the Nazi's were anything but Christians in name only. Their actions were in direct opposition to the teachings of Christ, but perfectly consistent with the philosophies of Atheism, Evolution and Humanism. "Hitler dissolved the half a million member Freethinkers League and outlawed them out of existence." Well of course he did, that's what all "freethinkers" who get power do. They consider themselves "free" to "think" that you should agree with them or you can die. Since no one is able to stop them, they actualize their dreams. You simply have to get out more.
