ichy.... Use to do the same when I was a kid in a small town in Nothern Ont...Timmins....cold walk in winter but other than the cold it was safe.

Moved to Toronto for a few years at around age 7-8 or so and still was able to walk the streets alone and unharmed.

Maybe there is such a thing as the good old days. ah well gone now.
