Although I'm new to TYP I am not new to supplementation, but still very confused particularly about absorption. It appears that some supplements are better absorbed if presented in an oil base. Is that true of all supplements and vitamins? If not, and I suspect this is the case, which are better absorbed in an oil base?

The fat soluble vitamins are thought to be A, D, E and K. Dr. Davis wrote that vitamin D must be oil based heartscanblog.blogspot.com

I think Coq10 is usually packaged with oil for better absorption....I think.

Anne is absolutely right: The oil-soluble vitamins and supplements are best absorbed in an oil vehicle.

But water-soluble nutrients, like vitamin C, B vitamins, and magnesium are perfectly fine in tablet or other water-soluble form.

Anne is also correct re: CoQ10. Only oil-based CoQ10 is absorbed.
