To All, Gravelly voiced folk singer Dave Van Ronk has passed away from cancer. He was 65. He was a favorite of mine during the 1960s, along with Bob Gibson, Phil Ochs and some goof named Dylan or something. I liked his solo albums, but he also did great work on collaborations with the likes of Peter Paul and Mary and some of the folks named above. I don't think he made as much money in his lifetime as one hot single makes today, but he was able to make a living doing what he loved.
