Hello all! I have 100 shares of APCC that I bought at $26.5. For one reason or another I wasn't able to sell (or just didn't) when it hit its highs. Now I just don't feel I can justify locking in a loss at these prices so I've decided to just sit tight and be patient. I've done that before on other stocks and it's paid off. I can't believe that a stock with earnings like this one won't pay off eventually.

FWIW, this computer I'm using right now is running from a APC UPS box that has saved my butt more than once. Many times I've heard it beep as the lights flickered but this computer just kept on banging out the bits. One time the power company pulled the power to do some repairs right in the middle of a download. I was able to finish without losing a block. I'm sold on UPSs and APC in particular. I'm convinced that no home (well, computer) should be without one. I can even see it might be good for the VCR or whatever.

I'm not so sure I'd trust these things for lighting protection though. If "one point twenty-one gigawatts" of electricity comes blasting through the line I'm not sure anything can stop it. So when things get really flashing I pull all the plugs--just to be sure.
