PKZ - Petrokazakhstan. I wonder if anyone else is watching this with interest. The share price has suffered a precipitous decline over 2 months, from 45 to 27. There are two apparent reasons; a dispute with Lukoil over a joint venture biz.yahoo.com and a dispute with the Kazakh government, which is forcing it to reduce production, using a rule limiting gas flaring biz.yahoo.com These ongoing disputes, in both of which the real issues are hard to discern, have exacerbated the general sense of the political risk of investments in this part of the world. Perhaps the spectre of regime change is also spooking investors. PKZ could be a buy at this level.
