Bush senior opposes his son's dishonesty and corruption. Poppy send his A Team led by james Baker to try and wake up Junior and change his course. GW refused to be told what to do by his father with whom he has a severe oedipal complex. That cost the country greatly.

GHW Bush was not a neocon. He is not what we know as a rightwing Bushie. He was bi-partisan, a great diplomat, worked well with others, was a consensus builder, and did not deliberately let his corporate cronies rip off society and the government. He also raised taxes to balance budgets Reagan blew out of wack. He was a sensible responsible man. GW Bush is not. No comparison.

GHW Bush was also pro-choice and a moderate on the environment.
GW Bush is neither, though I'm sure he personally doesn't give a damn who gets an abortion.
