It was no pity at all to the divesting. They were overjoyed. I was their fairy godfather. They shook hands with glee no doubt in wild anticipation of not returning my justifiably importunate calls.
Not that I did not anticipate a tad of this even at tender years. I was aware of people's attitudes towards their deservedness because of position, rather than ethical considerations. After all, nobles and leaders in business do not have consultants and advisers for no purpose at all. The weighty, pretentious, and even skillfully condescending inveighings against claim could be pre-written even by the most ingenuous.
What many do not realize is that the statistical preponderance of the bereft and divested is directly proportional to the sun of the lack of intellectual achievement times the numers of people in positions of power and possessing of great wealth thereof. If one is to examine the ones who have laid claim against such theft throughout history, we find that the "field of honour", is littered with the carcasses of those who dreamed, dared, invented and were dispossesed. Particular amongs these are those individuals who gave their ideas to the governments of the day, to better their defenses, or the lot of the soldier in the field. Siezed with the necessity of protecting the secret, they further conspired in circles of command to protect any sort of money trail from ever leading back to the persons involved who had been the enablers.
Books of inventors are rife with stories from times of old, where useful things have been torn from the grasp of the persons who developed them. Sir Richard Arkwright, Rudolph Diesel, Nikolai Tesla, and many, many others all failed to acheive capitalization on their finds. Still others have failed to gain even recognition for being first. Heavier than air travel, often credited to the Wright Brothers is in serious doubt. Bell's Telephone is contentious. The list is long.
I ain't the first and I won't be the last. My motto is money first, invention second. I will not longer give enabling information about how to open a door anymore. Your guess is as good as mine. I have heard that doorknobs do it, but I won't guarantee it until I see the money.
