Re Your Tax Dollars at Work...Is there much difference between a State University professor, salary paid by the taxes of the citizens, writing papers and being paid when they are published in a for-profit magazine or journal.

Or for that matter, the same "professor" being paid a salary by taxes of the citizens, and teaching perhaps 10th to 1/15th of the time, with the rest of the time spent writing papers, and/or writing books, for which he/she receives royalities.
