I have a short and simple perspective on the current uproar. Lets say the worst case scenario occurs, which is that WCDMA deployment is delayed until 04-05, and that no Euro GSM carriers deploy CDMA 2000 in existing spectrum in the interim. The pervasiveness of 3g CDMA 2000 networks in US, Latin America,Asia, and Australia by that time, all with international roaming capabilities will force the Euro operators to install WCDMA with a vengeance once it is available. Thus, by 06 or early 07, the vast majority of the world will be 3g, and CDMA.

Thats the worst case.

Many things could happen to push that timetable forward.

Even with the worst case, and especially at the current share price, can you think of ANY reason why you wouldn't put those Q shares in a lockbox for 5 years.
