I do not get a sense of urgency to standardize WCDMA and get handsets to market.

What impact will carrier debt have on expediting WCDMA rollout? Which pressure is greater the political implications of moving to 1x or utilization of spectrum? How much influence if any will financial institutions funding spectrum have on technology selection sooner rather than later?

I feel we have taken steps back this week drawing a line in the sand with European manufacturers.

With WCDMA infrastructure going in next year (according to NOK) should QCOM expedite WCDMA handset production to current liscensees in providing ASICS. The Samsung Agreement comes to mind.

IMO what we need now is collaboration of QCOM w/ European manufacturers to get the ball rolling and fast
