As least we partially agree. AMD should be building in some fail safe mechanisms such as more flash capacity while the coffers are full...
I don't know what else....but they should be looking forward...


Jim, actually I think AMD is but in incremental steps as opposed to large leaps. I am surprised at the number of different areas into which they have their fingers...stuff like easyPC. Whether its successful or not....I like the idea and the attitude behind it.

I also don't get these attempts that companies make to radically change aspects of their business..ie Intel getting into webhosting or if CSCO were to get into enterprise software. I think you pick a goal and direction that is not a radical departure from the core business and then make incremental steps towards that goal. That's what I see CSCO doing and doing very successfully.
