jmac,
I understand your reasoning for writing the calls-I used it myself. I bought intc at about $50 and was in and out of it making a profit here and there. Then from $70 I held the long position on the stock and wrote calls instead-just like you I wanted to make some points while the stock "rested", after all it had gone up a lot in a fairly short time frame. I also reasoned if it went up more I could sell further out time wise or at a higher strike. Well, what happened was, the stock went up and I ended up getting about $25 of a $50 move, after I finally bought back in.

I believe I saw where you thought this stock would be $200 a share, I don't know your time frame but it would be a b**** to be right and have the timing wrong. Speaking from experience. :)

JMHO-Good luck whatever you decide.

Regards

Ray
