The Clintons were regular churchgoers while Clinton was in office, and I am not sure about Mrs. Clinton, but Bill's background is Southern Baptist, a fairly fierce kind of Christianity from my exposure to it on my grandmother's knee. In fact, when he got busted for his sexual misdeeds his instinct was to get guidance from ministers (intensive therapy would have probably been more effective, and they have acknowledged since that they did get actual marriage counseling, which they felt they benefitted from).

Being religious does not mean you are not a sinner. I am not defending the Clintons, incidentally. I don't care for Hillary in particular, and think she is very shrewd and calculating. I just feel uncomfortable calling someone else's religious beliefs less than genuine (for them). Perhaps she will address your questions about her faith as her run for the president gets closer! That should be fun!
