Intel is very busy these days: this time they send us a press release with the title "the Third Generation of Internet Business". Besides a bit of marketing fluff, There are quite a few interesting bits in this press release:

"Worlds' largest e-business company demonstrates customer-centric internet business applications on new chip architectures: ItaniumTM processor at 800MHz, Willamette processor at 1.3GHz and demonstrates Pentium III processor at 1 GHz"

"Microsoft Digital Dashboard - showing the power of the Willamette.... Mike Fister showed a Willamette processor with standard cooling at 1.3 GHz, the next generation of Intel 32-bit architecture."

Seems like the 1.5 GHz was an overclocked CPU, not capable of doing much more than running a CPU ID utility. This 1.3 GHz actually runned applications. So it is very likely that we will see 1.4 GHz when the Willamette ships, like we have claimed in latest article .
