Hi Mtn, It sounds as though you bought yourself a little bit of a headache with the upgrade, Sorry. I ran the diagnostics at the pcpitstop website and my computer does not have enough hard drive space to install XP anyway. I also ran the pc tune-up and it seems as though everything is working a little smoother today. Thanks for the link! I still need to check out the Microsoft website. Yes, I think that if I am going to think about getting XP then getting it with a New computer is probably the Best way to go. At least that way everything Should be compatible. I have run into a few problems before with trying to add older programs and they would not work with Windows 98 so I have given up on trying a lot of changes. The computer has been working OK for what I use it for so far. I also have an HP 725 all in one machine so now I am worried a little about getting too new of an upgrade. I am not all that good at getting things working once they quit working. That is unless it is a GM vehicle <GG>.

I hope that everything ends up working out with the XP upgrade. I will get the case of beer with whatever I do anyway <GG>.

Take Care Mtn! :^)
