I heard the same thing and when you think about it, it makes perfect sense, but since they found her guilty of 2nd deg murder and the judge held that she was liable, but to a reduced crime, I think the insurance company is not off the hook. I hope the Eappens file a civil suit for all they are worth....I wonder if Scheck still wants to appeal, that pretty much tells the story doesn't it.
