International Verifact. Trades as IVI on the tse and IVIAF on nasdaq. They are merging with CMEL (checkmate electronics) in the US in about a month. Small cap? - yes, about 70 million market cap. about 27 million in cash. What do they do? They are the leaders in Canada in Debit card technology (hardware and software), have @65% of the Canadian market and are rapidly moving into the US where the combined company will compete for the #2 position in the US against Hypercom (well behind world leader Verifone (now bought out by HP)). Why does this co represent good value? - the market is growing at about 45% a year and they are growing their market share. They have world class technology, certified by all the major players like INTERAC, Visa, Mastercard, ect, are expanding into Latin America and are allied (via a 25% ownership stake) with the world leader in smart card technology, INGENICO of France. Have a look. Record earnings, great prospects, sound management, and a lagging, frustrating share price. Has to, IMO, move to fundamentals eventually. hopefully soon.
