Scientific Atlanta authorized Cable Link to stock and support existing Scientific Atlanta customers with parts needed for routine maintenance, as well as, provide in warranty and out of warranty service work as an Authorized Service Provider. These plans include a major increase in manufacturing capacity to meet the swelling demand of its flagship Explorer set-top boxes allowing for the production of 5.2 million units per year beginning in January 2001.
