WTC: I've been digging for additional information on collocation and the RBOC's having to resell their ADSL services... Here is a quote from "Paula Reinman, director of product development, Pacific Bell Internet Services, San Francisco", June 2nd, 1997....

TELEPATH: This issue of the C-LECs, unbundling and competition has energized this market in a way that cable modems were supposed to a few years ago. Can you talk about how this affects pricing and deployment?

MS. REINMAN: We are required, if we want to bring the product to the market, to resell it because it's a telecommunications product and our ADSL service will be resold. We're required to provide an unbundled link upon request, and we'll do that also. We provide today an unbundled ISDN line upon request for about $17 a month. So it's pretty easy for others to get into the action without a huge capital outlay.
