Past history is an indicator IF there in continuity (stock picker, fund manager...) and the track record is long enough & there has been continuity of style. For example, Garret Van Wagoner had a great few year stint in Govett smaller companies & the first 6 months of his own funds. Since then he has stunk out the joint. His super agressive growth style works great in a growth orriented, bull market where mo plays work. Not too good in periods of "value" mindsets (AKA flight to quality), or sideways or declining markets. You have to look at the context before making the assessment. IMSCO, Scott
