Market cap just a bit over 1.3 billion. Book value about 5 dollars a share. Great technology -- IMO the best ATM available and now Gigibite Ethernet. (ASND: market cap 8 billion, book value 6 dollars) (COMS: market cap 12 billion, book value 8 per share) So LU can get an awful lot of value for a reasonable price with FORE. ASND and COMS are both excellent companies, with better sales departments than FORE and a much greater product mix. But I guess -- at least as far as today's rumor is concerned -- value is value.
