QuickRemit and QuickBill. From Pete's presentation I believe these were the development names for the 2 new web tools. The newspaper guy is instructed to go to the website where he is led through the registration process to set himself up for electronic payments of his bills. Pete said they can not afford to help set him up today so they do not offer him this. He can only get paper checks. They are currently working on the software tools to allow him to set himself up as an e-payee.

Similarly, they are working on the tools to allow him to set himself up as an e-biller. Pete did not say when this would be ready, but it would obviously be huge. This would be the key to getting to the magic 70 percent electronic goal and probably even higher. It would make the cost of setting up a biller or payee dramatically lower. It sure sounds good.

I really enjoyed the future oriented discussion about what they call inside Checkfree "webmoney." It is reassuring that they are working hard on the next generation of their current services and also visioning the future of e-commmerce and electronic money.
