TI is just defending a bad investment made in DSL equiment supply IMO.
No, TI is kicking butt in DSL. The interesting statement was that they are now throwing cold water on the Cable modem market when they just paid through the nose for a little cable modem chip company a year or two ago.

As for the WCDMA vs CDMA2000 statement, what would anyone expect from TI when they know their chances to get any of the 1x chip business are EXTREMELY LOW.
