blue chip. imo, it's NOT a market thing. To know if it is, simply ask yourself if you would like wireless connection at home, in your car, anywhere, at speeds starting at 3 times current phone modem speeds and costs that are right now a bit higher, but if mass produced equipment was available, probably at costs less than current. Lets face it, whats cheaper, stringing out wires or radios. Nortel has a white paper saying if wireless was used internet costs would be reduced by up to 80%.
No, I still feel the existing infrastructure is putting a hold on this technology, but it is creeping out slowly.
Look a countries where they are just now installing internet access. Many are opting for wireless. Billy gates is connecting his buildings wirelessly over the next year. That tells me something.
The push these days is cell wireless, but I could also be way off base here and surprises might be arround the corner. - regards - denis
