I found the president’s speech disingenuous and doublespeak. Why talk about focusing on rebuilding this country when you are recalling a minimal number of
troops? Do we have the money for rebuilding Afghanistan and Iraq, fighting in Libya and Yemen, supporting Pakistan? If so, then why is our economy in the tank?

Why can't we withdraw from Afghanistan while starting to rebuild the US? After all, they can be done simultaneously.

The wars added to our national debt. They were not directly responsible for the economic crisis that hit this country in 2008.

I have no doubt that Republicans are trying to game the president. But if the president behaved more progressively in his politics and erred toward the views of his base, I think it would have retained that wave of enthusiasm that made history when he was elected.

I've got news for you.......many of us are still very enthusiastic.

Surround yourself with hawks (including Hillary)
and corporatists, and that’s the advice you heed.

Uh......the article said he is going against the advise of those close him. Do you actually read what is posted to you, or do you simply reply from your ideological playbook?

And btw Hillary Clinton is considered on of the best Secretary of States in the world. Just the other day one of my German friends was wishing their Foreign Secretary was half as good.
