* India seeks talks for 'no first use' N-pact (from Infobeat of 05/27/98) India said Wednesday it was ready to discuss a "no first use" agreement on nuclear weapons with archfoe Pakistan and other countries, bilaterally or collectively. Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee told parliament that New Delhi also wanted negotiations for a Nuclear Weapons Convention along the lines of multilateral pacts to ban chemical and biological arms.
