I went to a local 7-11 a few days ago and they have a pre-paid cellphone deal for $29.95. I was in a hurry so didn't follow up on the window ad. I'll see if I can find out more.

Slacker: Thanks for the update on China Unicom. The story has changed dramatically from the spring. Do you happen to know if they've resolved the ownership issues that were plaguing the likes of MOT last spring?
