One of my friends asked me about the new Q5 Audi, so I called my friend to check out all the new plans. Apparently, Audi is getting ready to come out with new diesel SUV's for the Q7 and Q5 V6 models. The great thing will be the higher gas mileage, the bad thing will be the higher cost of the new vehicles. For the people that do take advantage of the higher fuel efficiency from the new diesel SUV's, they will be getting 40 mpg. That's not too bad for an SUV with a V6 engine.

Suddenly, all of the "bad" people driving SUV's that convert to diesel engines will be very eco friendly. Of course, it would be very interesting if GM converted all their SUV's and Hummers to diesels engines with very high gas mileage. Of course, there has never been an intelligent manufucturing decision by a US automaker so far. It will be interesting to see if they can respond to SUV diesel alternatives.
