Thanks for the info. Judging by your response, HDR will not be ready until 2nd generation G*, several years from now. Am I understanding you correctly? I started thinking about G*'s HDR possibilities after reading Qualcomm's press release regarding their partnership with Hitachi to roll out commerical HDR in 2001. This will be a major step in the development of "broadband" over fixed and mobile computing devices and cell phones. I just wonder about G* and how HDR might be implemented, and what the technical roadblocks might be. HDR will have speeds of 2.4mbps according to qualcomm and was demonstrated to much media fanfare a few weeks ago in La Jolla. Anyone else have information on the liklihood of HDR being quickly assimilated into handsets or ground systems, say in the next 2 years? How long would it take to implement something like this?
