The government will do whatever the NRA wants in terms of common sense gun CONTROL. The main problem with the NRA is that it has the ability to influence the government way too much, and they do it in very ruthless and dirty ways, by financing smear campaigns against anyone who votes against even their most outrageously liberal gun laws. That needs to stop. It is very corruptive. Thge NRA doesn't rep the majority opinion, they just have a ton of money and know how to use it to pay for political hits. If politicians didn't have to be afraid of the NRA they could do the right thing, in both parties.

What's at stake here? Only thousands of American lives including a lot of children.
