I think we are talking two different "taskbars" The taskbar you are talking about is the bar that has the start button on it. It also shows which programs are active. The office tool bar is seperate. The one I was speaking about. Sorry for the confusion.

One reason that people use the autohide for the window taskbar is to recover some screen space.
