"PENDING NG crisis"? Their spot NG prices are over $20/mmBTU and they have a PENDING problem? Incredible how inept the California politicians are. They need national experts to tell them to build more NG pipelines? Can't ANYONE in the state figure out the obvious? "Are we setting ourselves up for the situation," he asks, "where we add all these brand, spanking new plants and create an even worse natural gas problem? Duh, Hello?!! Earth to California! Please turn on your brains. "He'd like a special session to consider if there are ways of boosting in-state gas production or, perhaps, to build a liquefied natural gas facility ..." There's a great solution. Spend 5 years building a LNG plant to solve today's problems. Hey, why not build it in the middle of the desert? It would be far from the population centers, thus making it much easier to permit. You folks could worry about how the ships would get to it after it is finished.
