Absolutely. For every person who is affected by an article similar to the one you have referenced, there will be thousands who will see Intel's new MMX marketing blitz and think they are really missing somthing. Intel has even purchased time during the Superbowl. Whether the consumer is truly missing out is not of consiquence, it is the perception of being behind the curve that fuels sales.
