Vaguely remember seeing that abomination at Brooke's site, Michael ;) It also corresponds to the 7-steps to CCI so poorly described in A to Z. equis.com There has to be a better way to calculate the mean deviation in Equis-speak -- it is essentially the same problem as calculating the std dev equis.com That is, sum not the abs dev of a point from its trailing MA ---- ( (( H+L+C)/3) - mov(( h+l+c)/3,Pers,s) )/(.015mov(abs( (( H+L+C)/3) - mov((h+l+c)/3,Pers,s)* ),Pers,s)) ---- but instead the abs devs of the points from their mean Is there no way to in essence freeze the bolded MA in your formula? --- Bob
