We had blueberry pancakes yesterday morning. Seems every year is becoming a bumper crop lately. My two older kids picked about 6 1qt. baskets already, and the real crop hasn't matured yet.

The rest of the fruit trees are doing rather well with the exception of two of my apricots which seem to have contracted some type of bug eating into the trunks and I'm thinking of whacking them down this year.

We had another baby in April, so the garden isn't looking so clean and neat, though it will give up what we need.

On a lighter note, I did weed some of it yesterday. I just took the push mower right down the rows, and bingo! there's the onions, found the peppers, and neatened up the rows of beans nicely. Now if I can get a bunch of lawn cuttings over the cut weeds, I might be able to keep the weeds at bay for the rest of the season.

Raining really hard here right now. Yes, it's been an unusually wet summer here, though the heat and humidity have still been present.
