Garry, I have noticed your company's news releases proclaiming a campaign against SPAM email.

Could you tell me how one's email address comes to appear in the email lists that are sold to SPAM emailers? I wonder about this, since I receive zero SPAM email to my email address at my employer, yet tons at my AOL address. (Much of the latter, I might mention, orginates from Earthlink accounts.)

And is there anything that individuals can do to keep their name from appearing on these lists? I've heard that posting something on UseNet is a sure way to invite SPAM email, but is there more than that?
