A quick and dirty screen capture I use alot is the plain old printscreen key. In Windows 98/NT (not sure on 95) the printscreen key copies the entire screen to the clipboard instead of just printing it. Alt + the printscreen key only copies the active window or dialogue box. I then use the clipboard viewer to confirm what I have and to save it out or paste into my word processor. I like it because it is always available on any machine without an additional program, although other programs would definitely be more capable.
