The United Nations was funded in the 1950's by American school children giving dimes to fund them-------"for the starving children of the world".

Over the years the UN has crossed the line of just being an advocate for poor children to telling America how to handle its on land water ways. to setting itself as the arbiter of all things international and on American soil.

For the most part, I doubt that most Americans, including myself, have no true idea about the expansion and scope of the UN.
