LLCF if the analyst is a CFA and the stock in issue is in a fund designated for retirement it is a very different ball game. Will not post on SI other similar cases but messing around with retirement funds is difficult to hide and pretend pretenses. All one need to do is to prove that he invested as a result of a specific rosy report or an advise based on that report which worked out to be misleading or done reckless and the funds incurred substantial losses as a result.
