John, I agree that Euros want to slow the pace of everything and not only telecoms. But, far from starting a Transatlantic War, I have to point that the US ILECs are not exactly revolutionary. Look to the death of ADSL. This is a typical example of telcos trying to arrest progress. I tell you more, you are going to see a US handbreak in wireless technogies. That's because the uS is more wired-centric the the Euros. Just wait and you will see. 3G will do a lot to dissassemble the Euro remaining socialist slant. This deployemtn is not going to be a repetition of the past. Is going to be somehting really new.
